Please read this agreement before installing Insight. By installing or using the software you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install the software.
This agreement is between you and Yashwanth N, trading as Insight Education, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India ("Insight Education", "we").
1. Licence
Insight Education grants the school named in the licence file ("you") a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Insight on the computer the licence file was issued for, for the licence period stated in it (or without time limit for a lifetime licence). Moving the licence to another computer requires a new licence file from Insight Education.
2. Restrictions
You may not copy, resell, rent, sublicense or distribute the software or licence files; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where the law expressly allows; or remove or alter the licence checks, copyright notices or branding.
3. Your data
Insight works fully offline. It never sends student, staff or school data over the internet or a network, and it contains no tracking or analytics. All data is stored on your computer. You are responsible for the data you enter, for obtaining any consent the law requires to hold it, and for keeping backups. The software provides backup tools; please use them regularly and keep a copy on separate media.
4. Updates and support
12 months of updates and support are included, starting on the date the full licence file is issued. There is no yearly fee: after that period the software keeps working as it is, and you keep the version you have.
5. Ownership
The software is licensed, not sold. Insight Education keeps all rights, title and intellectual property in the software.
6. No warranty
The software is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Insight Education gives no warranty that it will be error free or fit for a particular purpose. Results, grades, ranks and reports produced with the software should be checked by the school before they are published.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Insight Education is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, and its total liability is limited to the licence fee you paid.
8. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you break these terms. On termination you must stop using the software and delete all copies. Your own data remains yours; you may export it before uninstalling.
9. Refunds
A free 30-day trial licence is offered so the school can try every feature before buying. For this reason, licence fees are not refundable once the full licence file has been issued.
10. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of India. The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.

Demo data in screenshots and documents
The screenshots on this website and in Insight’s documents show the demo school built into Insight. The school’s name (Green Valley Public School), its branches, and the names, roll numbers, marks and other details of its students, teachers and staff are fictional. They were made up only to show how Insight works, and do not refer to any real school, institution or person. Any resemblance to an actual institution or person is purely coincidental.
